I have solid advice for non-smurfs climbing low ELO (b-g5)
You will die, it is inevitable. We will all die eventually.
Therefore before you die use all of your abilities, all your summoner spells and all your item actives. Do whatever it takes to stay alive or kill someone, there is no in-between.
The average game lasts ~30minutes, the warding trinket refreshes every 180-90 seconds
Even if its just one person and they even have a slight chance of getting away, you blow your wad all over them because they now have one less person.
Only when you move higher than this, you can consider saving your cooldowns.
