Should players of vastly different ranks be forbidden to play together in ranked teams?

I'm just thinking that there is no reason to allow players of different ranks to play together in ranked matches, it defeats the purpose.... I'm just here to open the discussion tough so feel free to share your opinion on the subject.

By vastly different ranks I mean 2-3 ranks of difference. (where 1 rank = 5 divisions) example: no platinum allowed to play with bronzes on ranked matches (no matter what).
