Just entirely sick of this match making,

every single game is a 50/50 at champ select of who got the smurfs or players who arent playing their champ for the first time.

Most likely because that silver 2 player has a win rate of 69% through 35 games. That silver 2 player will be high gold within a week.

Riot doesn’t match MMR per lane. MMR as I understand it is a team average. So the plat duos with an unranked and you have your perfect storm. Completely fair in the eyes of RIOT.

Their team also had a silver 1 The teams look fairly even apart from the plat player Idk riot just really cares about the speed of queue times. However if you would have won that game you would of gotten more lp than normal because their team had higher mmr

I get ignored often trying to explain why MMR systems work but Riots got some undesirable things added for player perception, turns out saying things that clash with both sides of the "FK RITO" and "Riots Great" the same sentence is not popular. Being a bit of a dick about it also doesn't really help my case any eather.

Duoing still exists becuase People LOVE to duo. How Riot implemented it is Flawed for a truly competitive MMR system, but its very successfully for encouraging player participation and enjoyment.

Take a look at the impact of all these duos on this game. Your Nami is qued with the Kaisa. The Hec and LB are duo, Lux Cait also duo.

All those duos have pretty large MMR gaps even if they are at the exact same MMR for their tiers. Tiers however can have under/above the tier value on current MMR because LP moves slower then MMR. Its entirely possible for a Plat 1 player to be at Diamond MMR and for a G4 player to be in silver. That's a pretty huge range representing about 36% of the playerbase going off Leauge of Graphs.

I accept that riot will not want to remove Duo. I get that most people are not going to be the kind of geeks like me who love to learn about the mechanics behind systems and take the time to google and study and research stuff. But for Christ's sake if yall want to not break the legs of MM then Duo really needs to be set off the hidden MMR values on each account to never be higher then what the system considers a acceptable range for MM to use. Just think about the number of players that the majority of Tiers represent and what happens when you make a MM have to account for a range over 25% or higher.

I get why it can be defended, the lower end players will become deadweight and cant get boosted to the top just off duoing, At some point when the High Elo player but it does create some obvious mismatches. Mismatches make the game a lot less fun for most players, take a look at the growing resentment towards smurfs and all the times some one comes here to rant because they got under skilled teammates.
