What is happening? : Professional players and a following swath of players are starting to use Ninja Tabi on ADCs.

Why : Professional ADCs know that Riot loves to nerf anything considered to be good on ADC, so they are trying to make it look like they are abusing Ninja Tabi so they can get it nerfed and then have an easier time with tanks.

Plot Twist : Riot makes it melee only or reduces the passive reduced damage for ranged champions

Also Possible : ADCs suck so fucking bad that they are willing to sacrifice damage for survival

Maybe it is because they are building smart to avoid getting 1-shot.

Or maybe because most of the games that get played involve an AD top/jungle/ADC on one team so it kind of makes a lot of fucking sense to itemize against that a little.

In this week's "This or That," they actually went over why they are so good that they show up 3+ times on the same team.

With the armor and Damage blocking, they block as much as 30% of auto damage. When there's 3 or sometimes 4 Physical Damage dealing enemies, that reduction becomes a much much better stat.

They also scale with your enemy! Enenmy ADC fed? Your boots actually block MORE damage, instead of a static amount or scaling off your own stats.
