Why is Yorick outta free champion rotation?

I think all champions are good, but they need the right requirements to be played properly. I've heard Yorick is supposedly "bad" and "trash". He's also considered a "troll pick" whenever I choose him. But I think he's an okay champion. Overall I think he's a solid laner, but sadly provides little to no CC. But his ultimate is the real kicker! He's such an under-rated beast, but so hard to carry with though. I've been playing League for a little over a year now, and only seen a Yorick at least three times (Not counting how much I've played him). I hope he doesn't get reworked but he's pretty boring (IMO). I'm very curious to see if any of you guys actually play Yorick, and have any ideas about the champion overall. He's a huge lane bully, and sustains a decent amount. Once you get tear and Tri-force, your damage is insane. Not to mention that his Q's an auto reset. He's very hard to outduel with certain champions. But he has a very rough time laning against a Nasus, because he can stack his ghouls. I think Yorick's an okay champion, and it's very satisfying to have him on your team. Why? Well, Yorick's ult basically makes your team a 6v5 for ten seconds. It also has a pretty short cooldown. And here's a description of Yorick's ultimate: Yorick conjures a revenant in the image of one of his allies. If his ally dies while its revenant is alive, the revenant sacrifices itself to reanimate them and give them time to enact vengeance.

Yorick conjures a revenant in the image of a target allied champion. Revenants deal 45/60/75% of target ally's Attack Damage and last for 10 seconds. If his ally dies while its revenant is alive, the revenant sacrifices itself to reanimate them for up to 10 seconds.

Last but not least before I go, Yorick's ult cooldown is right here: COOLDOWN: 120 / 105 / 90. Yorick synergizes well with hyper carries such as Yi and Vayne and ETC. I hope you guys have fun with Yorick as a champion. He's boring to me, but his ult is very rewarding. Have fun!

He is too good. You must suffer to get his ultimate power and demonlish all foes you shall cross paths with. (In all honesty, I don't know)

He is out of free rotation because he either is a) An awful experience for the palyer that plays him, B) An awful experience if the players know how to play yorick vs a melee.

yorick isn't free because he makes the game excruciatingly terrible for whoever he's facing even at a low level.

They keep him out to not drive new players away.

Yorick, Poppy, ect aren't included in free week due to the fact they are in bad need of updates. This was once the case with champions such as Karma, who once they received the rework they were then added back to the free rotations.

"The short answer is It's basically because yorick's kit isn't very healthy gameplay wise. I believe riot plans to rework him but for the time being, they removed him from the free week rotation to keep his popularity to a minimum. "

Her ghouls have no counter play. Are hard to hit as well. He has a sustain and will agro you with no counterplay, since his poke has a large aoe and no casting time. Add up an annoying slow, and you have the most one sided kit with 90% of chance that you will win the lane phase.

The major problem is yorick is only relevant late game if he takes a dump on the laner. You can't stay under the turret. That's how misarable the lane phase is.
