Bring back auto-lock with timer
One of the worse decision riot made in removing a feature was auto-locking champs when the countdown timer hit zero. The number of times I have to sit for 15/30 minutes to play a game because the game dodged me (note: I did not dodge, the game chose to dodge for me, and I think there's a difference) is getting ridiculous. It's a feature which, by design, harms quicker players. If I'm playing LOTPK, I know which champ I'm banning immediately, the moment the timer pops up at 30. This feature has essentially relegated me to a situation where I either have to (1) sit there and stare at the screen as the unnecessarily long ban timer ticks down, or (2) not get distracted by something else and remember to come back just to hit "Lock In" on the champ I've pre-selected. As someone who often plays with headphones, if I happen to take them off while I'm waiting for the 30-second ban timer to tick down, I get no warning. I have to remember, or I'm forced to dodge.
It might seem minute, but it's something that happens rather often to me, and the amount of playtime that I lose out on is starting to get irritating. I understand having the feature for ranked, because it forces players to consider their champ based on the team comp instead of auto-locking their main, but for normals, or for special game types, it's unnecessary and a hindrance more than a help.
Consider re-implementing auto-lock when the champ select timer hits zero.
