Add a Thresh lantern click icon on Bard's portal.

Tried Bard, was fun trying something new. Noticed his portal doesn't give an indication on where to click to go through it. Clicked a few times on the portal but he either stood in front of it or just went passed it.

Could we get a Thresh lantern click icon on the portal? Would make it easier.

Problem is if we add a lantern icon on bard's portal no one would ever click it.

Yes, the click cursor would be amazing! Another thing they could add is a quickcast mode like Varus' q for Bard's portals. The first "E" would make the range and aiming bar appear, while the second "E" materializes the portal. The current quickcast feels like creating a portal into the dark, not knowing where it's gonna lead because of the irregular walls of the jungle.

Smartcast with range indicators (though I wish we could activate it on a per-ability basis)

That's the problem though. Range indicators are nice but playing without them will always be the quickest and most responsive way to play. A per-ability option would be really nice though. Especially if you could save according to champion preferences!

From my experiences, quickcast with range indicators is just as fast as without them as long as you dont press and hold the button. I think your impression of being slower is due to the fact that some people spam a button a few times whereas some people just smack it really hard but for once only.

Yeah clarity riot.... It should never be hard to take a magical journey.

it's not bad once you figure it out, you can click on the tube part of the portal to go through

Love this idea. Played Sion a while back and I wasn't able to keep up with the enemy team to provide CC and typical tanky damage-soaking because I could not seem to get through the portal without giving myself a carpal tunnel. Needless to say my team wasn't happy that I could not keep up in teamfights easily, and the enemy Bard knew it.

It's much easier to click in the middle of the trail it leads between the entrance and exit, by the way

Agreed. It is awkward as is.

yea I agree

I encountered a bug earlier where I could not enter the tunnel up until the last second the tunnel was available. That gate definitely has some serious bugs.

I played one game so far today and had a Bard in it. I didn't really have that much of a problem with it. I just clicked the center of the entrance and it worked. Also noticed there was like a string of arrows going from my champ into the portal, which I can only assume signaled that I had clicked it right even before reaching it lol.

Would be nice if there was an icon to help, but I also wouldn't mind Thresh's lantern getting that string of arrows indicator to show that you did actually click it and are going to it. If anything, just for clarity to give another showing that you did click it despite whatever else might be happening instead of jamming the mouse button on the lantern over n over again hoping that perhaps you didn't suddenly mess up without knowing lol

I really am not a fan of the Thresh indicator, it feels like more a of a tool to help noobs than someone who is aware of what a champion's kit does.

Bard's portal could use some tweaks though, I found that I could only go through it if I clicked on the passageway itself, rather than the "door". I'd like to be able to click on any point of the portal including the doorway to move through it.

It being a 'tool for noobs' is not an argument against creating tools for noobs. Hotkeys are tools for noobs. If you want no helping interface, you'll use the GUI for skills and summoner abilities.

Hotkeys are awesome doe :o

Yes please. Been playing a few matches as adc with Bard Support and I have F**ked up so many kills because of the difficulty clicking his portal.

I agree, tried him out, portals were difficult to use.

I agree with this suggestion. Bard is awesome, and I've been playing him a lot, but yesterday I died because I learned that you actually have to get right in front of the portal, not spam click it. All the other times I actually made it through were apparently coincidences since my clicking made me walk into said portal, but I had no idea up until now and neither did a lot of my team mates. That's how poorly communicated this is. There's need to be some obvious symbol or lighting effect (like Thresh's lantern) that makes the portal just begging to be clicked on. Please consider adding this, Riot. It could save lives.

yes pls

I tought you had to "walk throught" the portal to use it. Which is probably just a clunkier version of a click-to-use.

Couldn't take a magical journey through the enemy nexus. Rito plz fix

i dont think your suppose to click on his portal your just supposed to walk at it

He's a lot of fun but getting the portals to trigger took some work.

KawaiiKris1 votes

Really nice idea, that would be a good improvement to see, make the journey even more magical Bard

I agree that clicking the tunnel seems to be the easiest way to get through without any hiccups (which in some situations, you can't afford to make). It's with the thinner walls when you don't really have a tunnel to click that give me a hard time. While you typically want longer spans of wall to maximize the usefulness of Magical Journey, sometimes just giving your entire team a free flash through a wall, like the walls around dragon or baron, are what's helpful right then and there.

Have you ever tried HOLDING the right click (moving) then walking at portal? I think it is fine and if it was a thresh grab click thingy i feel like it would just get blocked by everyone trying to get through (expect for bard of course, more troll? nah.)

howdoIspellmynam1 votes

INO, I say that only the allies can click it because Bard can send people flying over the wall as they walk into the tunnel by accident.

Agree, it is needed!
