Riot, please make new champs unavailable in Ranked Mode the first week it's out.

Yes, I know some people can play them already when they are released due to PBE or they just can learn new Champs fast, but I've noticed many people tend to try to "get better" or practice the new champ in ranked and hope for the others to carry.

Just make the new Champs unavailable in Ranked mode. Let them try as much as they want in normal etc. It would make it so much better to know that people have hopefully at least tried the new champ for one week before it goes up on Ranked Mode.

As much as I would like to say 'keep the champions around', it would drastically reduce toxicity in lobbies. However, some players dislike normal-mode games hence their gravity toward ranked matches (I am part of this player pool). I strongly dislike being flamed for playing a newer champion in ranked in hopes of trying to really learn and practice the champion in a skilled environment, but I can understand why someone would prefer this exclusion from a "will we win?" standpoint.

You get the basics of a champion in normal/draft. When you are decent with it, you can go ahead and improve your skill in ranked. But don't first pick a champion in ranked because you will ruin 4 players' experience just because "it's more funny for you", since you will probably make your team lose, unless the new champion is something really easy to play like Rek'Sai.

but RekSai was freelo when she was released

In which case, it's unfair for one team to have to sit back and lose simply because a champion was released more overpowered than it needed to be.

tons of up votes.

but little comments.

this is just a no brainer for the community rito, and it should be for you too.

A very fair point. Perhaps a mandatory Normal/Bot game could work before playing a new champion in ranked? So at least people have SOME idea what they should be doing.

You know what, I've never thought of it this way but I 100% agree that new champs should stand the test of time before they are allowed to be played in ranked games. We can't assume that everybody will have the responsibility to learn the champion in normals, at least in lower ranks.
