What is wrong with Tristana?

Just wondering why people don't play Tristana. She has a lot of damage, she has good range, mobile, and shoves towers really fast. Why don't people play her?

This happens all the time. She used to be retarded, she got nerfed so now she's not retarded, so nobody plays her anymore. This is the time to play her while people underestimate her.

Remember Draven's old passive? Everybody acted like he was gutted when the only thing it did was make people think they could recover from a couple unanswered autos, which is a net good for draven because lol no you still can't.

Shes mediocre all around at every point in the game. The main attractions to her are safety and turret-taking ability. Most ADCs scale a lot better for teamfighting. She has basically no utility and very little AoE. Compare that to AoE crits. from Jinx as well as more CC and an AoE execute. Sivir also does a lot more damage in a teamfight with her W and Q. Her ult. is also godly. The list goes on...

I have played Trist since I started playing the game, sometime before the Swain release. She was always my favorite ADC until the rework, which I think really hurt her. Even though she had a weak early game, she still had reliable early harass with E. The new E, which shoots the bomb, feels really bad. It is really difficult to get it to do a good amount of damage early game, and it affects her harass from early through mid game, up until when late game hits when E harass wouldn't be used typically before or after the rework.

It does help her take towers easier, but I never found that to be her issue, as her AS boost let her take them quickly anyway. So increasing tower taking ability a bit, as well as her early all in ability a bit vs. much worse harass against other marksmen early and mid game was very negative for her. She feels much more snowbally than before too imo because of her focus on all in early.

In addition, her massive AS boost was nerfed (which I agree with, as it did need more counterplay), but those changes combined really put her at a disadvantage compared to many other marksmen.

It seems like ADC's that can provide something for their team as a whole (Sivir or Kalista ult) or adcs that can poke (Corki and Kog Maw even tho he is played mid more) are more in the meta than Tristana. Yes i know people will say Jinx is a hyper carry but since she can get the added range on her q and has a global ult she has more of a map impact and just will overall do more dmg. Its not that trist is bad right now its just the type of adc that is needed.

her biggest issue is that her early game doesn't scale well and it's hard for her to lock down a target.

her base hp is also fairly low

thresh is the hardest hitting hypercarry in the game if you build him AD and he can bring his opponent to him to kill them, but then his early game is really weak and his range is lower than most others

Tristana is fine. People were just used to her being God tier OP for so long. So now that she is actually balanced, they think she is weak. She snowballs are hard as any ADC in the game right now. Get that first kill and she is off and running.

Her attack speed was absolutely gutted. The lowest of any ADC except for Jinx.

Her range isnt anything special anymore either. She doesnt even outrange Caitlyn until 16, not to mention Jinx or Kogmaw get their max range at level 9.

Her late game hyper carry was absolutely destroyed. And it was replaced with a pretty ok mid game, but nothing that special.
