Buy a sight stone, providing vision is a huge part of you're role, If you font have a sight stone as one of your early purchases, and your playing "support" you hare playing it incorrectly, and you're giving up much of you and your adc's security in lane, for a tiny bit of damage, PLEASE buy a sight stone.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I've had two games, one in which we had a Teemo, who to be fair, wouldn't need a sight stone if he ever used his ult for vision, but he didn't even take a support item. And a Veigar.

TheProfezzor1 votesSame here. I can outdmg everyone in game so I'm sorry (not really) but not buying a sightstone is not the reason you've been dying top or mid. Either ward, have some kind of map awareness, or sit under your tower. Until people are legit carrying me, I will continue to do it myself.

Yea play brand or vel koz support its easy to get top damage, BUT GET A DAMN SIGHTSTONE
GinoSoldier1 votesWhile there's never any excuse not to buy a gold-gen item as a support, and tank supports are better off buying the Targon Eye item, when playing alongside an AP support, for all i care, the ADC could afford to spend the gold on an item that makes them less squishy and safer to play. Meanwhile we get to rack up that sweet AP and out damage the ADC regardless of whether or not he does buy the damn sightstone.
I will always refuse to be a vision slave. You want vision, you get the useless item that comes with it.

NekoniClaws1 votesYou don't need sightstone when neither team has advanced botside (jungle included). In stalemates, or in the first 10/20 minutes, it's better to get combat stats to break the stalemate than to get sightstone. (You have both REDS and trinkets for defence) Sightstone can be used for highly aggressive / coordinated plays vis deepwarding while the map's split like this, which results in an advantage, but isn't an effective strategy in low elo soloQ. Otherwise you only need to rush it for an invaded jungler or for specific enemy junglers with odd gank paths.
Summation: I see enemy support rushed sightstone instead of stats, I kill them. Then I use the money to buy sightstone.
