Lux's Shield isn't the reason why she is strong right now

Well, a big part is that she can reasonably pick up and make full use of it if she's remotely ahead. Part of that's due to her range, yes, but the other aspect is that her shield lets her laugh off things that would kill most squishy mages.

Taking out some of her safety will cut her ability to run alone with a 25-stack mejai's.

Lux is strong?

Shit, and I thought Guinsoos Kog'Maw was the problem.

Confused about Mejai's not having been removed... It buffs her shield for late game while she's making kills early and mid game. The AD equivalent was removed but not this one, seems odd. Maybe they'll just nerf it to simply do magic damage instead of giving raw AP for defensive scaling purposes in addition to offensive scaling purposes. I would be okay with that. Don't like losing items completely. Maybe they removed the AD scaling item because they thought it was crap and didn't want one less 'newb trap' item in the game. If that's the case and this item doesn't need a nerf for an indirect nerf to Lux then let's just bring back the AD item I guess and buff it.

I thought Lux was strong just because she was Lux? I mean, as far as I can remember, Lux has always been scary as hell. /laugh
