Stop matching me against silver 3s when im in low bronze and iron. I dont enjoy getting completely rekt by people who are clearly better than me and most my teammates.

IF SOMEONE IS A BRONZE 4 MATCH THEM AGAINST BRONZE 4s. [sg-ahri-1] And no excuse of "well their skill level was that of a b4". Then why are they in silver 3 fighting b4s? they should be fighting silver 3s and if they lose to them move down until they are at b4 fighting b4s. If you claim my skill level is silver 3 then have me fight bronze 4s and so on until i get to that elo where my supposed skill level is. The way it is now is completely stupid and broken.

Ranked should match you with and against people of the same division and tier or at least 1 tier off like b4 and b3 in the same game. Not an entire division! [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Personally fine with having a little range. Like my smurf right now is Plat 4 and I am fine if it matches me with like...Gold 1-3 and Plat 4-2....

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.... please stop putting Silver 1 players in my games, they do NOT belong in my plat games.

Keep in mind that you aren't matched based on your rank, you're match based on your hidden MMR. Your MMR sometimes isn't directly in line with your visible rank, which is what causes disproportionate LP gains/losses (Ex. +25 LP for a win, -12 LP for a loss).

Just keep playing for a while and your rank and matchmaking will even out as the season progresses.

Being placed with others that are far away from your ranking could be a sign that the games population has taken a stark decrease and making you actually wait for people in your elo would take way too long to be possible. Don't take every sign of stupidity as stupidity, there just might not be enough people to go around anymore.

If you're getting matched with silver players, it means you have silver MMR. If your MMR is too high it will naturally lower if you play more games and if it's correct, you will naturally climb to silver.

Back in the days when you could have still argued with people on those forums without getting banned, the common argument was: "keks, you can learn from them and play better xdxddxxddd"

This is what happens when you use a single player ranked system (The elo system, originally created for Chess) in a team based game and progress is only based on win loss and not actual performance :D

The exact same opinion ! I have also complained about this system for a long time. The vertical range of the opponent should be within 1-2 Division. Now, why do I have to beat gold to get from silver 4 to 3? ... MMR and the rank should be matched. If a riot thinks that MMR is worthy of skill, shouldn't a player with a gold equivalent of mmr be given a victorious skin at the end of the season, even if the rank is bronze or silver? This opinion sounds right, but if the riot is against it, it just seems that the riot wanna protecting the duo boost... For example, a gold player pulls up a silver friend. Duo should originally go up with friends of the same ability. If it is within 1-2 divisions, Smurfs can not exploit duo any more, and I think it is a good thing, but why is riot not doing this?

Only this. I'm Silver 4, so I want to fight people in the same Silver 3-4 frames...

I completely agree. I am so pissed off about this ranking system.

Im iron I and stuck in iron because of this shit. My last match i played for my promos i was matched up with a gold IV, dead serious. Normally I’m matched against silvers. I never get to play against other irons

If riot thinks I'm good enough to play against silvers then make me silver ranked. If I'm iron put me against friggin irons. This is ridiculous.
