Im in bronze 4 yet every time i play u match me vs silver 3s and i cant even play and get sht on. What ever happened to we are matching u better to your level. shouldnt a b4 be fighting b4s? how is it fair to match a b4 vs silver 3s?

leagueofturds5 votesBecause you are better than you think and those silvers are worse than what their ranks require. They are coming down and you are going up in skill. The more you play with better players, the better you get. That's what "climbing" is. You don't learn by playing with players at the same skill level as yours. You learn by playing with better players and getting to their skill level in time.
donger b0t1 votesI'm sorry but what information are you basing this on? MMR is private. We really do not know how matchmaking works. There are many possible matchmaking scenarios where OP would be placed in that game.

leagueofturds1 votesI don't see a mention of MMR anywhere. Are you seeing things I don't? Don't object to something for the sake of objecting. All that statement is saying is that he is more skilled than he thinks he is and it doesn't matter that he is matched against higher ranked players because those players are boosted apes anyways. I don't base this on MMRs. I base it on my experience with boosted apes from bronze to platinum.

Particularly as OP is talking about matchmaking, the matchmaking mechanic behind "worse than their ranks require" would be MMR. And if you are just talking about your experience with "boosted apes", it isn't really relevant to OPs topic.
Sukishoo3 votesLow bronze and low silver isn't much different. It does this across all ranks based around your MMR not thw actual ranking listed. If you see what Ive seen where you could have a bronze 4 in a gold 4 game, now thats something wrong as they should be way too far apart.
DiscWizard12 votesincorrect. I, a S8 silver 3 player, play for vision, build correctly, have good runes and can attain 7-8 cs/min. I see most of the people in my game doing the same, the difference between silver and Gold is small, the only difference is Golds have slightly better mechanics. The difference between bronze and silver gold is game knowledge and application. The difference between gold and plat and diamond is next to nothing except mechanics, not until master do you start seeing proper rotations, well timed grouping and wave management knowledge beyond a simple freeze. While this is NA and it may be different of other servers the largest gap in skill between a single rank teir (iron, bronze, silver ect) is bronze to silver. The funny thing is there are Iron 4 players getting put into games with High Silver players.

A bronze and silver are farther apart in skill than most people think. Bronze players are usually new to rank and some are fresh lvl 30s. Silvers usually have more experience with a champion and learned how to pub stomp with certain champs (like yi) but are hardstuck because they are toxic, egotistical, and they think they are better than what they are. Hardstuck silver players should be able to get out of bronze very easily jusy by throwing key board and mouse against the wall during one of their rage fits.

Last Breàth1 votesSince they announced that they were working on changes with ranked I knew they will mess it up. I expected that they will make the matchmaking system even worse. I haven't played ranked because of that and I'm not sure that I will play unless they revert or fix it. They really want to change, but I don't see it in a positive direction.
