Runes Reforged: A return to Runes

People have been upset about the removal of creativity in runes, so I propose a solution that keeps Riot’s idea of secluding certain stats to certain trees, but allows for more variance. This does not affect any of the runes in the trees. Just the stat bonuses. I intentionally left out any numbers from the stats as I did not want any discussion to be about number values instead of the idea behind this change. (also i don't know number balace but shh...)

*Every tree other than Inspiration has a choice of 1 of 3 stat bonuses. Along with these, rune paths have a certain amount of points you can assign to the stat bonuses, Primaries have 5 and Secondaries have 3. The player gets 5 points to split between the two.

  • Precision: Tackles attackers’ attacks
  • Attack Speed
  • Crit chance
  • Adaptive damage
  • Domination: Assists assassins’ assassination
  • Adaptive damage
  • Lethality
  • Magic Penetration
  • Sorcery: Lets spell-spammers spam spells
  • Adaptive Damage
  • Cooldown Reduction
  • Mana Regen
  • Resolve: Tanks tank and dont get their health tanked
  • Health
  • Armor
  • Magic Resistance
  • Inspiration: Specialize in especially special styles
  • Cooldown Reduction
  • Movement Speed
  • Gold per 5
  • OR: Pick a stat from the other tree you have

Examples:

Stat bonus notation: (<Stat><Point value in *’s>)

  • I want to use an early game cheese strat on Tryndamere, but I still want some good damage for the rest of the game. Take Precision(Crit**) and Inspiration(AS***).

  • My Katarina takes too much damage in a Yasuo matchup. Take Domination(Adaptive**) and Resolve(Armor***).

  • I like triumph in Precision, but I’m playing Maokai and don’t need the precision stats. Take Resolve(Health*****) and Precision(None)

  • GOLDPLANK HERE WE GO!!!! Take Inspiration(Gold per 5*****) and Whatever Else(None)

  • My Cassiopeia runs out of mana too fast. Take Sorcery(Mana***) and IDon’tKnowWhatElseCassTakes(Adaptive**)
