getting S ranks, but no hextech loot at all?

hey guys. when this hextech stuff first dropped, if i remember correctly, if someone on your team got an S rank, you would get a chest or a key or something, no?

to further support this, the first 2 games i played with my usual group of friends, one person got an S rank in both games, and everyone but myself got a chest.

i just played two games in a row with one of those guys. both games he got a chest, but no S rank either match. the second of those two matches, both myself and another teammate received S- ranks and yet, i still have not gotten any hextech items. this is my 4th S since the crafting system went live. what gives??

ps. sorry if this isnt under the right board. dont think its a bug so i didnt want to throw it there

How many chests have you gotten? Because it's 4 per month.

Have you ever had chat restrictions or some other punishment for bad behavior? If so, this may have made you ineligible for Hextech Crafting loot.

Some info as I know it that may or may not be relevant:

You can only get 1 chest per champion per season. Example: You play Ezreal, and get a chest either on your own or from a team mates performance. You cannot get a chest while playing Ezreal until season 7.
You cannot get a chest if you do not own the champion.
You start off with 4 chests available, and regenerate 1 per week. These are viewable in your summoner profile. Grey means not available, Gold means you have a chest available to win.

It's one chest per champion per season, so you may have already unlocked a chest with the champion(s) you were using at the time. You're also limited to 4 chest slots per month, with a fresh slot unlocking each week, so you may have to wait until another slot unlocks before getting another champ.

And to clarify for you, you get a hextech chest when you or someone in your premade gets an S rank, assuming you haven't yet unlocked a chest on the champion you were using that game and you have a chest slot available.

Separately from that, you have a chance of getting a key fragment when you win a game, independent of your grade. Being in a premade increases your chances of getting a fragment, but otherwise you can't bias the odds for a fragment.

It is possible to get both a chest and a key fragment in the same game.
