Learning New Roles

I'm a support main who is trying to learn other roles. I managed to get to Silver 1 playing mostly Support, with some decent ADC thrown in, but bot lane has become pretty boring to me. I have another, unranked account on which I simply spam normals and select fill, but it isn't doing much to help me learn anything (partly because i get support a lot when I pick fill). Bot games don't teach me anything, and I get stomped in normals (unless I pick Garen top, but that's boring).

What are some new champions I can buy to try out in Top, Mid, and Jungle? I don't mean whose broken and has a high win rate, but what champions are fun and relatively easy to learn? Also, any recommendations for learning these roles, or should I just continue to spam fill in normals and gradually learn that way?

Note - I do watch a lot of streamers and Youtube, and I look up guides, but they don't help much.

I'm afraid "fun" and "relatively easy to learn" are way too abstract terms. It's different for everyone. Try them all when they come available in free rotation and see for yourself.

I love support and mid, mostly mages mid, a lot of mages have a decent skill floor but easy effective ones would be Lux Brand Ahri Annie and Ziggs

i prefer the high skill ones which are super effective and super fun to play Cassiopeia Katarina Orianna Ryze Syndra Viktor

If you're coming from a Support pedigree, I'd recommend you start Mid with Champions that are able to go Support or Mid. Annie, Morgana, Zyra, Lulu, and Brand can all do fine Mid.

You might also like Veigar, since his Q encourages a focus on last hitting, something many Support and Jungle mains I've played with have needed the extra practice on.

Hello, I am in a similar situation at the moment, even if I feel like it's a bit more tricky. I've been playing League for several years now but never really got into ranked because I didn't like the environment there. Bottom line is, I only really did some qualifications recently after years, got placed in Silver IV but afterwards had a high win rate before season was over and I quit. Instead, when I play normals with a bunch of friends or alone I am regularly matched against Gold V or higher players, dunno if it's because less people play normal or if that's indicative of my MMR and overall skill level now.

Point is, I always play support. I started because my friends needed a support and I ended up loving the role. Still, I would like to branch out. My problem is that, when I play normals, I get stomped by main-role people who are in Gold division or higher. This I expected, since they are experienced and good enough to punish me if I mess up. Is there a good option to then learn a new role without feeding my ass off every game for 50 games or so? That is somewhat frustrating, and I don't really have too much time to dedicate to League. I try to play it as lightly as possible when I chill out, but that is somewhat at odds with doing horrible many times in a row. So, should I quit trying and stick with support, maybe trying out a bunch of "odd" champions to get some variety, or is there a way to improve? I don't wanna go in ranked and ruin other people's day just because I am learning the role tbh.
