Revert to previous version

My client disconnected from the internet (no biggie, I'll just relog). So I exited out and went to log back in, but I got a message saying League of Legends was forced to revert to a previous patch (went back to the Warwick loading screen) and is currently forcing me to update BACK to the current patch. This is a big deal as I am only allotted so much data per month by my carrier, and these updates take a large amount of data.

Is this an issue on my end? Or the clients? I'm using the new client, not the legacy. I've never had this issue before and I've played league for years.

Yeah, this happened to me yesterday and it happened AGAIN today. Reverted to the Warwick loading screen, forced me to update back to the current patch. I don't really know what's happening, it's never happened before to me either. The first time, it made me update the client AND the entire game, which took about half an hour and ate up a load of data. The second time, however, it only made me update the client. I'm confused and inconvenienced, and I'd like to know what's going on.
