Hey everyone,

Two weeks in to the new boards, we continue to learn more every day about what works and what needs some tweaks. Two of our default boards in particular seemed to be a source of confusion, so we’re doing some reorganizing. As a result the following two boards have been “retired”. You'll still be able to read and write to them, but we won’t be actively supporting them going forward.

• Champions & Skins • Live Gameplay Balance

We’re replacing those boards with two new discussion hubs that will each get a fresh slate.

Champions & Gameplay

The new Champions & Gameplay board is designed to cover League of Legends as a game. From discussions about your personal strategies, to speculation about the next champion or patch, if it’s about playing the game, it goes here. We got a ton of feedback before this change with questions like “Do I post about Lee Sin nerfs in Champions & Skins or Live Gameplay Balance? What if it’s all junglers? What if I just don’t like Lee Sin?”

We want it to be obvious where your post should go, and splitting off skins, skin ideas, and champion concepts into a separate board, you can now post with confidence in Champions & Gameplay and know that your post won’t get deleted for being on the wrong board.

**Skins & Champion Concepts **

Are you nodding to the tunes of Sona's slick particle updates in her skins? Does Dragonslayer Pantheon's splash art still make your jaw…drop? Maybe you've got the next Pool Party Ziggs up your sleeve and you're here to show everyone. Skins & Champion Concepts is the place to talk about official skins and share your ideas for new skins or new champions. We are aware that Community Creations and this new board feel redundant, but this board includes official skins, while Community Creations doesn’t (unless you’re posting something you made about a released or upcoming skin).

TL;DR: Based on community feedback, we’ve made two new boards to replace the old Champion & Skins and Live Gameplay Balance boards.

While we’ve removed the retired boards from the official list, we haven’t deleted the discussions on the retired boards, so you can return to your old posts if you’d like to keep the discussion going in the appropriate new location.

We’ve created a discussion in Boards Feedback for you to tell us what you think about these changes and any additional feedback you want to share.

Don't like the name of Gameplay and Champions - Gameplay and Balance would've been better, as that forum's main use is balance and gameplay discussions.

We still need a Strategy and Guides forums, to discuss those things.

I highly agree. You should change the name asap. Skin & Champion Feedback or something. But anything with "concept" in it will only confuse the users from the Community Creations sub as they create "concepts" (mostly).

The etiquette in skin & champion concepts says you can also post concepts in Community Creations if you 'fancy'.

Basically, yes. I just don't really like the name Champions and Gameplay, as it infers nothing about the very frequent balance discussions/mechanism discussion that go on in that subforum/subboard/wat-ya-call-it-again.

Basically, I'd want seperate places for talking about the balancing states of the game and its champions and talking about gameplay strategies, cool tricks and tradecrafts, and/or complete guides. Hence, why I am asking for a Strategy and Guides Forum.

I think this is a great move. The amount of fan-submitted content can be daunting (in a good way), so having a dedicated space for that specifically will be awesome for keeping it all organized.

I'm pretty upset at this, where do we discuss current skins that already exist? I posted it in live gameplay but it was deleted... Apparently skins that exist must go in "Skins and Champions Concepts" which doesn't make much sense if it exists already, not a concept

I'm pretty sure it's "Skins" and "Champion Concepts", not "Skin & Champion" Concepts. Meaning, this is a place to discuss both all things relating to skins (new and old), and any kind of concept relating to a new champion. Existing champion discussion goes in Champions & Gameplay. That's just my take though.

This is correct, although we did allow for the "misreading" of "Skin...Concepts" by explicitly calling out in the guidelines that skin concepts could find a home in Skins & Champion Concepts if players didn't want to post them in Community Creations.

After reading these posts, I'm not sure if I posted my discussion in the correct board. Could you take a quick look at it and let me know? The post concerns my feelings towards skins and art. I'd love some feedback and attention there too :). Here is the link: Unbalanced Attention Concerning Champion Skins.

Had to put in a shameless plug of my own post, but I put a lot of work into it and I want some riot feedback on it! lol

Discussions about skins is fine there as well. We anticipate that it will be mostly dominated by concept submissions, but Skins & Champion Concepts are still a good place to have discussions pertaining to anything skins.

OK for some reason, I can't seem to post on the boards (I stopped every few lines to make sure this one did go through)

I'm fairly certain that the reason why is because the thread that I want to post on is from the retired boards, but I just want to make sure

Whenever I try to post, the button disappears and nothing happens, then when I click cancel to try and retype it the post button isn't there

Any help would be appreciated
