Hey everyone!

My name is Andrew, and I spent almost all of my time at Riot working with the Boards team. I'm not up to much this Friday evening, so I wanted to make myself available to you for questions about the Boards. This can be anything from our longterm vision to a question about how something works right now. I'm going to make myself open to you guys for the next hour or two, so jump with your questions now!

Not a fan of it, tbh. I hate we're being forced off the old forums and onto these ones. As of now, I'm truthfully not impressed. Maybe it's just that it's so quiet, maybe it's the background, but something just turns me off of this completely.

The boards are currently available to NA, EUW/EUNE, and OCE players. Do you ever plan to expanding boards access to users from BR/LA/RU/TR, realms that I assume aren't considered an English majority?

Hey! Any idea if the front-end coding (HTML/CSS) for the boards will be changing any time soon?

I'm working on a custom stylesheet (WIP Preview) and I'm reaching the point of fine-tuning it. I don't want to spend hours making sure everything's pixel-perfect if you guys are going to be rolling out an update on Monday though.

Well I'm just going to put this here instead of making a new thread.

This is my feedback. I'm not overly attached to GD even though my main account dates back to February 6th 2010, the old dark blue GD before ranked existed. I don't really have that big of an issue with the format of these boards either. You know why I refuse to post on these boards and what the real issue is, Tamat? You lying fucks. I've been around for a long time. I've seen almost every move Riot has made in the history of this game. All you fucks do is become worse and worse and lie more and more. It's about principle. When you go back on your word you're saying fuck you to all of us. So this is me saying fuck you right back. I've watched and listened since the very beginning, and I see through it all. Just make as much money as possible while it last. It's been a long time coming, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that I've lost every ounce of respect that I had for your company and everything it stands for.

Why did you decide to use a format that only focuses on popular opinions? That is counter productive, and is just going to turn into a large quantity of circle jerking thread about "X champ is OP, nerf plz."

Why do you despise your posting playerbase? Why do you actively alienate your customers? Why do you insist on shoving complaints further and further under the rug instead of cleaning up your mess?

What did the Dominion/TT/ARAM/custom-game/alt-mode communities do to you to deserve to lose their community subforums with no replacement? ("Maps and Modes" is not a replacement, it's an insult: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c**/summoners-rift** )

How does a person keep a topic visible if it doesn't get enough traffic other than reposting it? On many occasions people have had to keep posts visible on the old forums before they eventually got traction. A thread about putting the feral flare mob counter on madred razors took up to 10 pages of bumps by one or two people before a red actually acknowledged it and the change made it into the game.

How do we do that in these forums?

Hey Tamat what was the threshold metric of traffic that the new CB needed to have/maintain for the transition from the old boards to the new ones to be finalized? How much traffic had to migrate (% or otherwise) for GD to be turned into read-only?

It was mentioned when CB was originally put up that unless it was worthwhile and the community preferred it, CB would not be forced upon us and might be potentially scrapped if it was hated so much. How did you decide that it was in an acceptable state to push the community to use it exclusively?

These boards are really pain for people who are outside of US ... it constantly keeps defaulting to North America within certain intervals (or randomly) so if you are typing a long text, nope, not gonna be able to post it before you "switch" back to EU again. -.-

So please, could you consider making it so, that when I select my EU region, it actually STAYS in that region unless I personally go and change it? Like save it into the cookies or something?

As I recall, you are a Mantheon fan. Has that changed, and how do you view his current state? Are you looking forward to his eventual VU and Rework?

Tamat, why do you force users to resort to a third party program to access the most basic features of a forum? You obviously support its development, so why are the features not built in? Isn't it a bit hypocritical to say "avatars are bad for discussion!" then go and praise a fan for modding in avatars?

Look, I have nothing against FEK, and I love the FEK staff. But lets be real here - is the only reason you support FEK because GDer's wouldn't migrate without it?

What's even the difference between "New" and "Recent"? New topics vs. Recent replies? The old boards were clear in that fresh replies jumped topics to the top, but it's not obvious what each does.

How about addressing the plague called IP Farming Bots before it drives away all of your customers? Those of you who haven't seen a Bot in-game yet will. Trust me you will. And trolling my statement like your about to will feel like denying the world is round after you watch two bots on your team feed the enemy to victory.
