It feels like if the rest of your team is losing, there's nothing you can do unless you have 8 kills on Darius or something. If the enemy top laner is decent enough to not feed you, there's nothing you can do. The rest of your team is feeding, so you have to carry. But oh wait, you can't, because their jg is pressuring you. Or because you first picked top and got counterpicked.
I can only affect the game from top if I get super fed or play a support/utility character

As a support most of my games are determined on if their top laner is doing well or if yours is. It seems like every game the 6/0 top laner shows up and dives us under tower @15 minutes, and proceeds to snowplow the rest of the game. Unless the enemy bot lane and jungler are hard feeding us we don't have any agency in the game unless our top laner goes at least even.
Top lanes agency is either:
A) Your jungler works with you or enemy jungle works against you in some meaningful way(s) B) Mid to late game
It's not an early game role for impact unless you're something with a global, don't expect to have impact unless you planned to impact the map with your pick, spells, and roams.
How is this different from any role? You think if 4 people on your team are feeding you can hard carry without being ultra fed? Like dafuq?
