Ranked 4v5

So I'm gonna start with a little venting.

%@^#IGN %#!^ %!@# OF A %#(*! BAG WITH A (!#%ING POGO STICK

Alright. With that out of the way, we can move on.

It's seriously frustrating to get into a lobby, everyone calls a position and things seem to be going good, and then you get into the game and one person's hanging out in the fountain. No big deal, maybe they're still loading.

A minute goes by.

Then a minute thirty.

Then two.

Then ten.

This is entirely too common to Ranked games and it's a serious, serious problem. I know that I personally have been set back from promos, and in promos, because a teammate quit or never showed up to begin with. Why should I be punished for someone else's transgressions like that? At minimum, 4v5s should automatically trigger Loss Forgiveness. Ideally, they shouldn't result in any LP loss at all.

It will then be too easy for people to abuse the system by having a player AFK in a losing game.

This should only apply to players who were absent the entire time.

Yeah, I think the best median compromise solution is to do some sort of forgiveness if someone never connects.

Never connects = no items = no experience = never moved = 4v5 = compromise solution

For sure, and I'm not at all opposed to that. I had someone who failed to connect until 35 minutes, and we somehow managed to drag it out that long. But those sorts of games are the exception not the rule, and especially when you're about to get into a series, the last thing you want to try and do while tackling folks several ranks higher than you is try to successfully pull off a 4v5.
