So, if damage creep is too high...

Many people on boards are complaining about the absurdly high level of damage being dealt in games. I do have strong opinions on that subject, but I'm going to ignore those for now and focus on just one thing: ##IF the claim is true, what is the simplest fix?

Isn't it to buff hit points? of everything? by, let's say 5-10%? yes, that's a lot of changes, but it's a lot less than adjusting damage values directly. It leaves all other "issues" exactly as they are, allowing them to be addressed separately. All it does is lower the effective level of damage by 5-10%. ######For internal game testing, it's even easier, since they can create a buff (and apply it to everything) that reduces all damage by a flat %. This method also works for PBE. I think the findings of such a test would be very interesting.

That seems good on paper, but there are always problems. Imagine if a champ is good at lvl 2 or 6 all ins, but since everyone has more hp he has no kill pressure at that point and his winrate takes a tumble.

What if there's a champ like Vayne, who's counterplay is to blow her up ASAP, give her more HP and it's the Targon's meta all over again, since that 10% additional HP means so much more to her tiny health bar than to her opponent since she is critting for 1k+ anyway.

Its not too "high" its just there aren't enough mechanics to play around it. This game in my opinion suffers from "brain drain" due to "unfun mechanics" being taken out of the game. Maybe if they would add items that make meaningful plays or add in destructible terrain or rethink what they did to dragon.

I was always wondering why they added damage to everything in preseason instead of leaving as is, then changing it through time.
