downvote if you want MORE complaints

I actually agree with a lot of them. I just can't take the whining anymore.

we should do this... we should do that...

Honestly, If I worked at riot, I wouldn't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole. Not until everyone calmed down at least.

39 and a half foot pole to be more exact..

They all seem pretty Grinchy to me.

The thing is, constantly complaining is the only way to actually get Riot to listen. If everyone shut up Mord would just get nerfed and get put into an even worse spot than pre-rework for the next 3 years until he got reworked again.

I can see why it is annoying to you, but there is no other choice.

you know it probably wouldn't be this bad if riot had said anything outside of "we don't think he's a metal mage" and maybe told us what they were planning for him instead of general radio silence

if you worked at riot it wouldn't be any better if you took that approach

Oh, yes, I completely agree.

Just think if they did something totally revolutionary, like... split him into 2 champions. keep going as is (and increase velocity) with one, and hire Malicious Metal to be in charge of the other? I can't think of anything that would be more popular OR unlikely than that!

i mean most of the "base" of Mordekaiser is still there, unless you mean theme-wise in which case the spooky magic would just be another SI champion and mord would be a metal man again

It's the execution of the rework that irks me the most. Q feels incredibly unsatisfying (both visually and gameplay-wise); E is somehow less satisfying (needs to be changed up; rework it as an ability with more counterplay and more reward). W just needs to have more "oomph" factor because it just looks awful and feels bad to use.

I'm iffy about his ultimate. It's a very defining aspect of his kit and it is one of the most unique and powerful ultimates, but the more I think about it, the more I worry that it's holding him back. It eats up a large portion of his kit and is the main reason he becomes so difficult to balance at times. Would he be both better off and still iconic with a new ultimate that further emphasized a power over metal? Sometimes I wish League could handle more than 4 buttons for abilities.

If you split him, one would be based around "Children of the Grave" (or a variant, like you said), and would probably keep alot of the new rework stuff. The other would be based around "Iron Man", and would be more like old Morde, with AOE damage on all his skills.

right now things are really unsatisfying all around, but a lot of it is also direction/identity confusion.
