For real... If you literally took away every movement speed buff Akali has, half her dashes and nerfed her Shroud it would still be a semi busted champ.
Just admit you can't God damn balance the thing and rework it already.
What that should really do is make Riot finally realize that CertainlyT should not be designing or reworking champions.
As much as I like her design, I absolutely despise playing against her. She is toxic, annoying, way to bursty and dashy. So yeah. She needs to be dealt with.
Because CertainlyT did such a wonderful job reworking her the first time, let's give him another go to make it more 'unique'. ;)
if they do rework her again they should asign someone who actually knows how to make fun champions.
My personal favorite would be Gipsylord. He designed Ekko, who to this day remains the only assassin you actually don't internally groan at when you see him on the enemy team, unless you personally have big issues with that champ.
Edit: Wow some people can be salty trolls. Okay, Ekko is an issue NOW, but wow you guys have to learn to chill. He hasn't been an issue for long, and he hasn't been an issue many times. Whenever he became problematic, he was balanced with little complications because his kit is easy to adjust without creating a coinflip balance.
The reception to comments like this one just goes to show that people really love to not think their answers through. Even if Ekko is an issue, he's simple to address, and you guys seem to love to miss that.
Honestly, the only parts of Akali that I've ever felt frustrated by were the fact that she has a microstun on her ult(unless they've removed that in the three months I've stopped playing) and the fact that there isn't a limit or range to how far away she can dash from to get you. There should be an out limit to that as it feels bad to get nailed with her shruiken and then just be dead regardless because her kit affords her a lot of safety for diving head first into an entire team. The microstun should just be gone. I'm impressed that they gave an assassin any kind of hard CC; its like they didn't learn from LB or Talon's ridiculous silence. Victims of assassins should be able to flash away. Blowing flash, a five minute CD in exchange for her ult seems exceptionally worth to me. Her ult will come up sooner than the flash. Add a range for how far her dash can work from and remove the microstun. Honestly, remove the slow on her Q as well. Assassins should not have CC and if they're going to, their damage needs to be MUCH MUCH lower to compensate for the fact that their victim can literally not get away.
don't forget quiana and aphelios beeing at over 90% aswell And morde/senna each with ~65% winrate in over 15 games, beeing 2 of the only 3 champs that have above 50% winrate with that much games played.
Again? See you in 10.4 when she get's another nerf.
I do not watch LCS. What is the main champion that each player wanted? Ill betcha it is someone fairly immobile and has targetted damage or cc..... because if they picked Velkoz or Xerath or Ziggs (who work fairly well in team fights/pressuring objectives/HITTING PEOPLE WHO ARE INVIS...) then it would be shocking as heck. Probably is Ryze and Azir and maybe Syndra picks.
Just revert her entirely. She was binary but not overpowered.
If you took away all her move speed buffs she would just go top lane and abuse gunblade triforce

Funnily enough MF is allowed to somehow be extremely simple, have a 54 percent winrate, higher than any mid laner, and a 30 PERCENT PICK RATE. And barely gets a slap on the wrist.
No one cries about mf like they do akali.
Nuke this champ from the game. She has always been cancer, the remake of her only made her worse to fight against.
Did you know? You could Pink Ward Akali's shroud to reveal her? Back in the day.
Until they added True Stealth. That is the main issue. The ability to fight back.
