Can someone explain to me, why a dodge is a loss in your promos?

Seriously, if I have to leave in champ select, instead of leaving in game and risk having leaver buster ban my ass, I will.

Why is my first dodge of the day, in promos, a fucking loss.

Is it so that you can add marginal percentages to your "Let's make it as hard as possible for people to rank up" statistics excel worksheet?

Fuck you

No reason should there be a loss penalty given if I leave in champ select, in my promos, and it being my first dodge of the day, I can give some lenience for it being my second or third dodge as it counting as a loss, but my first? Did I play the game? Did I lose in 20 minutes and my nexus blew up?

Simple, if it wasn't a loss promos would be Dodge City, Kansas and we would all be Diamond.

People would dodge until they have players with high winrates or a team they like in sorts of teamcomb. Would increase dodgerate by a lot and with it quetimes

As others mentioned, people would game the system and dodge until they got good teammates (look up their op.gg in champ select and dodge if anyone has under a 50% win rate in their role) and a strong team comp. With no LP penalty disrupting promos, there'd be no reason not to.

That said, when i got a nunu adc in my promos i don't think i should just be totally screwed over. I don't understand how we're in season 7 and haven't implemented the ability to "earn" one or two dodges in promos without taking a loss by playing many matches without dodging consecutively.
