The worst player has more impact than the best

All that matters is the worst player in the game. Whoever gets to lane against them gets fed and wins.

There is no opportunity for a A+ player to kill a B+ player, because the game is already decided when a C- player DUMPSTERS an F- player.

The problem is, it is OBVIOUS who the F- players are, but Riot doesn't account for individual performance whatsoever, so the entire team is punished for 1 absurd liability, and then the matchmaking continues to deteriorate.

In low ELO especially. It isn't a game anymore. Its a teammate dice-roll simulator.

In every single one of my games recently is bot lane that messes up the most and will feed all game until no matter what we lose to an adc carry not to mention we can hardly contest dragons with such a bad bot lane

I’m actually losing the majority of my games all of a sudden which has never happened before and I’m getting so tilted

It's easier to 4vs6 than to 1vs9

Shocking

As someone who plays multiple mobas and quit this game, I can absolutely confrim that yes it 100% this game rigged towards a certain type of moba player and if you're not it then riots philosophy is that you're toxic and should play the way we tell you to.

https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-en/YtVMNI3Y-1010-match-makinng Just check this out, and it should explain match making and how little impact a good player has. Its make's no difference if i destroy my lane to the point where they just afk in base, but my other lane's will all lose the point my impact is 0. 60% win rate in plat and i kept getting players who where hard stuck and couldn't muster at least 50% win rate. I should of won a lot of those game's but its impossible to 1vs9 when you team is feeding their ass of consistently.

If hit 3 account to at least D5-D4 and this season is just pure cancer with trying to carry these guys. Save your self the time and invest in another game.

As someone who has been on all sides of this I can't help but agree. Sometimes I will be the one in the losing position and unable to do anything about it whlie Nasus Teemo Darius or whatever else top laner obliterates tower after tower while I'm minimum 3 levels behind. My bot and mid may win lane later on but by that time top inhib is already under threat and the enemy influence spreads to other objectives and lanes.

Other times I'll be support or mid getting off good roams with lane priority but my top laner is in the position I was in or worse and ends up getting the enemy fed four kills in five minion waves before any pushing and roaming can start.

Yet other games I'll play as a farm heavy jg like Amumu and just be able to coast by because the enemy Talon overextended and ate shit to my mid thrice even before I was able to go in for ganks.

I could be three levels up in top lane after crushing Tryndamere early as Olaf but oops my ADC decided to literally sit in fountain since 9:15 and now that it's 16:15 we have to fight a 4v5 that turns into a 3v5 as our jg figures it isn't worth fighting over and goes farming camps while our nexus falls.

Even as low-elo late game monsters like Nasus Kayle MasterYi Sion, the influence of the fed enemy Varus or Jinx can make the game a coin flip.

In a final case, I can lose lane pretty damn hard but oh hey the enemy bot lane fed twice as much and all I have to do is walk next to my ADC and Shen / Poppy W and cc a single target for their team to fall apart in fights.

The question is what can be done about it? Increasing single-player influence could well exacerbate the problem since the feeding 10th place player lane will lose even harder. Increasing team influence likewise can mean the team of 5 has such drastically more power over the team of 4.

Changing LP gains and losses could potentially work to improve matchmaking, but also encourages even more League of Solo players all trying to be the one that carries and weakening team comps contributing further to issues that have come up in the last two and a half seasons like tanks being completely unusable because of their team-reliant nature, or support being comprised of fills and cancerous kill lanes attempting to out-fiesta each other.

I agree with this, games are no longer carriable by 1 person but rather throwable by 1 person. It's kind of sad...

Hasn't it been like that since like ever? The point you're making can be true, but how do propose to fix it? It isn't something that Riot can do anything about at all. And don't tell me you're going to suggest like somerandom guy said that was to punish with bans people that perform bad. Everybody has bad days, even you "carry lord".

Its funny how many people started playing bot lane, just because they got tired of that lane loosing so hard. Me, as a top laner, its really hard to do anything if my bot looses turret in 8 minutes...

Idk dude I just went 0/10 in my last ranked game cos I was super distracted (dont ask y). Somehow my team carried an essentially 4v5 game. Enemy laner was fed as fk too.

The thing is, if this was true, the F- player would lose EVERY game and would quickly get to such low MMR that they would only be playing with other F- players.

So, it's not true. The problem lies elsewhere.

There are some feasible options:

  • players in your elo may not care about playing their best picks. They are F- on some picks they enjoy playing, but sometimes go on their better picks and put in solid B+ performances to maintain their ranking
  • performances are volatile. The player isn't an F- or a B+. They're a C+ and belong where they are, but on a game to game basis their performance varies considerably. Not even due to them individually (but partially), but also due to team comp, enemy champions, play style, etc...

Pretty much a trash game at this point. Mid feeds, but you're the bad guy for asking them to stop being bad... kids these days cant take any criticism.

I said this before and I'll keep saying it: Riot needs to take gameplay performance into account for matchmaking. Matchmaking is silly when all that matters is W/L. Farm per minute, kda, damage dealt/taken/healed/ objectives, vision score, all of those should matter according to the role you play and should factor into matchmaking. Like, what's the point of positional matchmaking if how you play that position does not matter whatsoever?

HommeGoujon5/13/2019, 3:43:22 PM1 votes

"Im losing all my games but I have the best farm, the most gold, and the best KDA, how come I'm losing LP, it's unfair. What? What nexus? I don't care, check out my stats bro! They're insanely higher than the rest of my team." L.o.L.
