Not being in control of when that timer starts due to losses happening beyond your control sucks. And each loss means your future first wins are delayed. Actually costing you IP. (it just makes people rage at their team-mates more)
Either reset the timer each day at midnight or something. Or give us back agency in choosing to do a botgame for the win.

Except in the case where there first was control, then taken away by another agent. I.E. Riot removing the option to play a botgame for a guaranteed quick win. In which case there was actual denial of control.
