Atma's Impaler

The idea of "Hey you bought more defense? Here's some free damage for ya!" Just screams "abuse me! abuse me!"

Atma's is a case where if it was worth buying, it was toxic because it promoted heavy snowballing by allowing super-tanks to also deal good amounts of damage. To allow champs that aren't Mundo, Shen, Garen, Renek, and a HP stacking Olaf to actually compete in the top lane, Atma's had to eat a couple nerfs. Enough nerfs that it actually became a trap item. Problem is restoring it from that state would just kill off top lane diversity again.

Presumably because nobody was using it. Of course, nobody was using it because it was massively nerfed. Of course, it was massively nerfed because everybody was using it. There are only a handful of champions it was still viable on, and they're not part of the 20 who see frequent play, therefore atma's is a useless item and can safely be removed as far as riot is concerned. The data says so.
