why do we still loose LP when a player afks in ranked?

i want a legit reason as to why me and my entire have to be punished for something thats completely out of our control? i just lost more than half of all my lp in ranked because we had two afk adcs two games in a row. Remaking is not an option because they afk in the middle of the game where its absolutely crucial that they be there. why cant only the afk player loose lp and the rest of the team doesnt loose anything? I dont understand why the system is designed like this we are being held back for something that is not our fault. WHY?

Because if you could avoid losing LP if someone's AFK, the "optimal" way to play would be to bully someone until they AFK when a game has a bad start. Instead of trying to come back into the game, you just stop playing and you harass someone on your team. If they leave, "good job", you won't lose any LP.

wont lose lp but will gain a report, also the person could just mute you and if they care enough about their lp wont afk despite the bullying thats a huge "what if"scenario that most likely wont even go down that way. so thats not a very good reason. ive been playing this game for 2 years and i cant even name a time a player went afk just because someones being toxic.

but then they would be losing LP them selves (possibly more lp than normal) and if someone makes a smurf to just go afk in when things get bad, then the enemy team can always report the player for intent afk and cheating the system, when enough reports rack up the account would be punished and also that strat would only work in bronze or maybe silver because i dont seen you climbing very well if you only afk all the time.
