No. I've seen counterplay to fed champions and I know that such a thing should exist. Even a fed Nasus will die to a marksman than can kite well enough.
Pink wards screw over akali hard as she is squishy. If she cant hide after an attack she is done. If she cant burst you she is screwed. Akali is VERY weak vs CC. IF you see an akali pick your team needs to pick tanky CC engage type champs like Heimer, Wu Kong, Morganna, malph, Trundle, darius, garen, Olaf
Those four don't really have the right CC to lock her down. Plus they had to do something to her shroud since it was supposed to be stealth and not camouflage. Since stealth can't be revealed by wards, it'd give her shroud no counterplay.
basically you need tanks and stuns. IF your team is all squish damage carry, well that is what akali feeds on, so she is probably going to do well. The counter play is to disable her with cc and not let her hop on your squishies. So basically team comp and teamwork. Akali is also squishy as hell. She cant take dmg
Unless she builds straight tank after hextech and still kills squishies. Because apparently she had enough damage in her kit to do that.
Malzahar can wreck akali, as his ult traps her and kills her. Zhonyas works vs akali too. Heimer will completely shut akali down in lane phase.
Ok. So she has lane counters. I'm not saying she didn't.
Akali didn't get treated well, but if they didn't change anything in her kit then it would break a few new rules. Namely her shroud and stealth. Control wards aren't supposed to reveal her, so it removes that counterplay outright. If you kept that then there's a clarity issue.
