Can we have a talk about tilting?
So. Tilting happens to everyone because of some reason in game. It sometimes, cant be avoided. Ranked or normals, it happens. Sometimes you'll get that one teammate who wants to be innovative or just does super poorly. This can lead to being toxic, which isn't good and will increase your loss rate, i can almost guarantee it. So, something's gatta give when you tilt. Literally, the last game i had i tilted so hard i almost flipped my desk. That's not good, it's a game after all. I see a lot of people get tilted over some things anyway, so it thought i'd make this post to remind everyone what to do when we tilt.
- Find a cooler place. Your body heats up when you're angry, so try and find a spot cooler than where you are for a bit. Sit in front of the air conditioner in between death timers or something, it'll help i promise.
- Don't go anywhere alone. When you're tilted, you'll make worse choices. Stick with a group, so it wont be solely your fault if you die. It's a team game, so know you don't have to go it alone.
- Mute everyone if they're being toxic/flaming you. You can say "well, they may try to communicate." If they're toxic and tilted, they wont communicate. And if they try, pings are more than enough to tell you everything you need to know.
- Get a group to throw your toxicity in. Some people, like myself and my friends, feel relief when we scream or bitch. We have a Skype group for this, where pretty much everyone ignore is, but when we're salty and toxic and tilted, we scream at our teammates there instead of in the game chat. This way, you may start to feel better, you don't get reported toxic, you don't lower the moral of your teammates etc. You'll be surprised at how much that helps.
- Music. Turn some music on under the game and chill. It's harder to get mad when you're jammin' some pop song you love or something (i personally don't like pop, but it's whatever you're into man).
- Listen to your teammates when they try to give you advice. We all have a game where we go 0/6, some more than others. Some people don't know how to play when behind, or how to play a certain champion when behind. If you're given advice that isn't sarcastic or rude, take it. They may know what they're talking about and it may help you and overall success ;o
If you guys have anything else to add that helps you release your stress, write it below. Lets try and tone down the toxicity of this community, shall we? Wont hurt to try! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
