If "X" Build or "X" champion is "OP", just play that champ and do that build

We all see the QQ threads about how certain champions are freaking annoying and items need to be nerfed because of certain build paths. I won't argue against this being true. Currently, a good Graves has incredible kiting ability, tankiness, and burst and can be frustrating but he is not out-playable. Some just post to post about these matters but others are seriously put off by them. Maybe these people who are frustrated have a main that they like or a certain way of playing the game that is not as strong right now. Maybe they like to play passive but weak turrets and champs with high diving abilities make their games annoying. If that is the case I feel for you. I know it can be disappointing. But, here is my question: If something is supposedly "OP", just do whatever that is. If graves is good, practice with him and play him in ranked, normal, or whatever you play. If certain build paths are good, then build those items. Clearly these people are aware of what is strong. Why not take advantage of it?

You should be able to play only what's good instead of what's fun

That defeats the entire purpose of League of Legends.

Are strong champions not fun to play? And that is not a quote from my post lol.

Let's look at it this way. League is a competitive game, but it is also a fun game. Finding a balance between the two is hard. Balancing is part of the game but some people feel the game is unbalanced right now favoring certain champs, items, etc. Is there a way to make everything balanced? Of course not. We are human beings with brains and we can figure out interesting and unique ways to do things. Some of them might work others might not. The game is still fun though, there is a +27 million player base according to some sites. And no one is saying that you have to play what is good. The word good is subjective anyway. Based off of someone's skill, they could get something that is considered not good by most people to work in their favor. The whole reason for ranked games and normal games is to differentiate between fun and competitive (although each has an element of both). If people want to climb in ranked they might have to evolve with the game based upon what works and what doesn't. Normal and bots allow people to have fun without worrying about ladder rankings.

That's stupid.

So we should only have fun playing the top 10 or so champs?

There are 120ish champs, being forced, with your way of thinking, to play certain champs defeats the point of the game, to have fun.

And no, not everyone has fun just playing the select op champs.

For example graves. I just don't like him at all. He's not my style I guess, but I don't enjoy him.

A lot of the other common picks I dislike. The only common one I have fun with is ahri.

The point is shoehorning people into a small subset of champs isn't really healthy for the game, for balance, or for peoples enjoyment with their different preferences.

Winning alone is a poor way to have fun. People who only have fun winning, in my opinion, have a mental issue, albiet minor. Or they are upper echolon and get paid to win.

I think there are a good variety of skilled champs and sometimes it depends on synergy and counter picking. I was just arguing that there is an alternative. I think the posts that say champs are too OP are wrong. There are so many more good champs then just 10, and sometimes one of the best things to do is play a handful of champs to get good at them unless one is a diamond or above player (even then that might not hold true). I mainly play ranked because I enjoy the climbing experience. It is upsetting when people utilize too much variety i.e. they try out a champ for the first time. I would rather they be bored and win the game then play something that is supposedly "good" or "fun" and lose. Normals and bots allow for this diversity in which players can experiment.
