What Do Pings Mean To You?

Honestly, people need to learn how to read and understand ping. The lower down the ladder you go, the worse it gets in terms of pinging people.

If someone pings on their way, they are effectively communicating to you that they are coming to assist you. You wait for them to get in range. If they target a champion and spam ping "on the way, target x champ, on the way, target x champ" they want you to engage.

It's late and I really do NOT feel like writing a book. But pinging is an effective way to communicate with your team in the smallest amount of time possible. It tilts me when I play TF and I ping my ASS off to a laner and they just sit back fiddling their thumbs. You wanna know why people don't play TF? It's because no one listens to pings. Why play a champ when people take FOREVER to engage?

I could be to your lane in half a second. I want you to fight so we can turn that 2v2 into a 2v3. If you're not actively paying attention, there is literally no point in playing the champ. Map awareness is key. Pay attention to your teammates pings and locations. Dying isn't necessarily a bad thing and hesitating and taking too long to go in turns a situation from guaranteed to questionable.

Point is, learn to communicate effectively with pings and learn to trust your teammates until they give you a reason not to trust them. Screwing up once or twice isn't a point not to trust them. There are a lot of variables that could've went wrong. Screwing up on a CONSISTENT basis is grounds for you not to trust them. Missing point blank skill shots consistently or clicking on minions with point and click CC is grounds for mistrust. You should assume that every player is perfect unless they give you a reason to think otherwise (wise words of LS).

When someone is coming to assist you, assume an aggressive stance. some people don't know what this means, but go ahead and look it up on youtube. There are 2 stances (positions) that people have in lane. Aggressive and passive. Moving up closer to the enemy minions is an aggressive stance and where you should be if you have an incoming gank. It puts you in a position to actively follow up on it without wasting too much to get into the fray. But that's for a different discussion. I'll probably make a thread on stances tomorrow.

Anyways, that's all for now.
