Add a team Captain?

Hello!

I played a game in ranked low silver, like s4 maybe s3, and I was ww jg. I dont really remember much else but the adc was kaisa and she was terrible. The game was close, we were a little behind and I had most of the kills and a large kill participation. Kaisa was basically feeding the whole game and she kept taking all my buffs. I dont normally mind when people take my buffs, especially late game because ww scales pretty badly. But when you feed and deal no damage dont take my buffs. Anyway, the other team had aced us at baron, and taken an inhib, but somehow we respawned just in time and barely managed to ace them. We had an open inhib and i ping my team like crazy we can end because the death timers were like a minute long. So me and 3 of my teamates start running down mid to end but elder is up and our kaisa, who was 4/9 at this point pinged guys we need the drag. I say no, you do nothing in teamfights lets end. And she kept arguing with me, stupid stuff like how she was the carry and we should all listen to her. One person started to take the drag with her and i keep pinging like crazy till he leaves and helps us take the nexus towers, which was hard because we didnt have minions so i was tanking everything. Kaisa gives up halfway through (this was a 50 minute game and she couldnt solo elder thats how bad she was), finally comes and takes the nexus with us.

The point of my rant is, how viable would it be to implement some sort of like Team Captain feature. It wouldnt have any impact in the game but lit would be like honor, so whoever has the most shots called honor would be captain. Maybe that would help teams group better in solo que (probably not but i'm a dreamer). And yes I am aware of how that would be broken because people would take advantage of it. But maybe give it a seperate reward system and redo the current one. Im honor 5, i've been honor 5 for months, and i get like 1 key fragment every week.

What are your thoughts?

Anyone with leadership qualities is going to naturally try to adopt a leadership role in game. Likewise, anyone with maverick qualities is going to ignore them.

Having a ‘title’ won’t change anything.

Yeah imagine some one getting that captain role and he tells everyone to run it down mid man. What then

sounds like a boss complex.. you have to remember, not everyone's playstyles match everyone else..you could get a whole team who all have similar playstyles and playing a specific way wins you the game, but then the next team trying to play that same way lose the game, becasue that playstyle doesn't work with them.. some people are better at dominating the early game and denying the enemy team from being good enough to fight late game. and some people aren't great early game, but dominate in the late game team fights.

just because your shotcalling wins with one team, doesn't mean the shots you call will win with the next team..

This would be a cool thing to implement into Clash or Flex. In a premade of 5, the people can choose a Captain, which might honestly be the jungler a lot. If no captain has been chosen when the 5 man queue up then the highest rank (or if they are all unranked, highest MMR) person will be chosen. People generally don’t have to follow the Captain thing, they can just ignore it and play like they normally do without the captain feature. But it could be helpful for a team of premades with being more efficient and organized
