Aurelion Sol - Based around the most stupid concept in existence

AurelionSol - Walk into the enemy... thats really all you need to do. The fact that Riot offensively calls this fucker a "mage" is offensive to most of the mages that take reasonable skill to use. This guy is as much of a "mage" as Azir is since they are both based around rather simple mechanics with limited drawbacks. This guy can essentially extend his "stars" to cover an entire lane and somehow Riot thought that this was balanced.

Not to mention one of the easiest stuns to land that I have ever seen and a super forgiving mobility spell that even LeeSin would be jealous of and you have something that pretends to be a "mage" but really isn't. I'm suprised people don't just rush tank items on him and then just sit in the middle of a teamfight and pick up easy kills.

The guy is so braindead and pathetically easy in concept, I wonder, along with the Alistar changes to make his combo easier so that any idiot could do it, if Riot is intentionally trying to remake their game for ages 6 and up because it seems that way. This is the most rediculous concept for a champion, just WALK into the enemy team. Its hardly more involved then that.

Instead of designing a fairly unique ultimate, they gave him a bland Karma like skillshot with an attached slow. That doesn't scream unique champion design to me. That screams lazy.

Mage: A magician. Magician: A person with magical powers. Magic: The power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.

Seems right to say he's a mage.

Not a mage in League's definition though, when you compare him to every other established mage in the game.

What is the League definition of a mage?

Aurelion Sol actually has a pretty steep learning curve as far as champions go.

This exactly, EVERY time i see Aurilion sol in a game this is what goes my mind and i let out a sigh, i mean, Really?.

It's so mindblowingly stupid. Like. HOW!?. This is pretty much saying you can capture god and put him in a bottle. And then looking straight into somebody's face and saying it with a straight face. and be like "i mean it" i can capture him and put him into a bottle.

PS. I know this is a old thread but i bears repeating untill somebody at riot comes and say "sorry, it was kinda of a stupid concept". And then we can all agree he is a cool champion as long as we completely ignore his lore and the concept of a dragon creating cosmoses to use ingame.

And on a final note to this atrocity, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Aurelian sol was heavily influenced by IO, a dota 2 hero.

IO is a very successful and fun support that has a high skill cieling and satisfying - albiet simple - gameplay.
