Thing is, new accounts are put into 1 of 2 mmr sets when they start playing pvp, if you play well you end up in smurf Q, which is a hell inhabited by mostly gold/silver smurf accounts who think they're way better than they actually are, but my friend who in fact is a new player got put in a regular q because the system recognized he was actually new.

The matchmaking system can supposedly separate a truly new player from an experienced smurf. So if a new player began a new account they would most likely be placed with other new players and if a smurf started a new account, they'd mostly get placed with other smurfs. Theoretically speaking that is.

i don't think that really works ... that would work only with IP adress but still ..

The game analyzes your stats and performance in the first couple games like “placements” for low levels. If you smash the new players it puts you in a separate smurf queue

this isnt news lmao. Stop banning toxic players and you've solved this problem for the most part.

When i smurfed for a day or two, it was like a prison lunchroom. A bunch of toxic silver players complaining to eachother about being banned.

Doesn't matter, there are lootboxes in the game now though!
