Anyone have good tips for Lissandra?

Every game I try to play with her I either get ganked heavily or just destroyed. I've attempted to roam with TP but my teammates bot and mid don't ward well enough for me to gank. I really like this champion but I can't seem to do well with her top. I just picked her up not too long ago but I feel like I should be performing better. I know that her early dmg is kinda crappy, and that most bruisers will out dmg her if they get too close. I just went against Irelia top and we were pretty even until she TP'd and got a few kills.

I try not to Q unless they go for a creep, I use E for escapes, and won't all in until I'm able to get some poke down. In the few games I've played her, the enemy always gets an early gank and I get behind and become completely useless. I guess part of me wishes that I could get the opportunities my enemy gets.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Very good juke is to throw your E in a direction and walk the other way. I use it all the time to escape ganks. Walk towards their laner while your E is going back and you can dodge a LOT of damage and CC.

The TP warding thing isn't really your fault, try and politely ask them to ward but ultimately you can't make them.

I've seen that but never actually tried it, I'll have to. Ty for the tip.

I'd say hourglass is mandatory, as is rod of ages. She's probably one of the few mages where morellonomicon isn't the optimal first buy, and you might want to skip it altogether tbh. She's a short range CC mage who has to go right into the middle of the enemy team to do anything. I've seen protobelt on Lisses as well.

She has a decent kit for farming, but don't be afraid to use her Q often since it's low CD and cheap, esp with her passive. You don't have to actually hit them, you can use it as a zoning tool, force them to back off when a minion is low or take damage.

Her escape is really slow, so vision is mandatory. You have to always have a control ward on the map and play around it during laning so you have as much time as possible to blink away. Try to keep enemy jungle warded so you know where they are. Don't depend on your team to ward the lane, until you're plat+, don't rely on your team for jack squat because you'll be disappointed every time. She def. has the potential to carry with her crazy strong ult, it's malz-levels of control.
