Execute ults feel unhealthy.

NOBODY Likes the feeling at being ulted by Garen at 1/4ish hp and dieing. Its like he didn't even have to take all your health. All he had to do was take away around 3/4 your health, then his ult did the rest of the work. Same with Riven and the like. However non ultimate execute's like Elise Q feel meaningfull when used right, yet non unhealthy. It just feels like they only had to get you down to X amount of health and don't even have to work as hard as their ults do 1/4 the job while you have to take that champion's full health.

Yeah you are right, people dont like powerful ultimates used against them, because people dont like to die, your point? Ziggs and xeraths poke is unhealthy. Ad carries autohits are unhealthy. Rengar and Nidalees kit are unhealthy. Nasus slow is unhealthy. Annies Kit is unhealthy. .... .... .... Everything that is powerful can be described as unhealthy from salty players, just saying. And executes being useless as a flat out damage source except when the enemy is already nearly dead makes them more healthy then Syndra Ult, Veigar ult or lee sin ultimate in comparison.

I didn't say there unhealthy becuase they kill me, its because the champion doesn't even have to take down 100% of your health to kill you. They have to work less hard and you die so fast with little reaction time because you stayed too close in a scenario where it was normally safe.

They do, their ultimate is a damage spell. And no they dont, champs have 4 spells and use them to kill things. Its like crying about a champion having 4 spells and calling one of his spells unfair because he has it, thats just stupid. A kit has a way to kill people and a lot of kits have ultimates that finish their target and their kits are balanced around their ult as well ( its called power budget), thats just simple gamedesign.

Garen doesn't feel like his kit is balanced around his ult as much as some champions are with executes. I'm not saying its bad because it deals alot of damage, its because it feels like they only had to do 3/4 the work you would had to of done. Garen already can win trades with decent silence, strong passive sustain, and pretty strong stats. That ult feels very unhealthy.

If it is just me, atleast explain how I can play around this. It feels like I'm not allowed to be in lane while around 1/4-1/3 because of the champion they chose. Normally I could survive or stay in lane, but that ult deals burst damage... on a tank. Its not even like you can dodge it either. Atleast please tell me how I can play around Garen, because that ult feels very unhealthy.

Look at other champions with executes: Riven, Garen, Zed, Darius, etc.

All of these champions listed here constantly are complained on the boards about how they are unhealthy, more or less on some champions, and many of them don't even have mana.

If their reliant on their ult, that feels unhealthy as their only usefull every so many seconds and when they do have their ult it feels unfun because their weak untill they get that super san move. It may be a simple gamdesign, but feels unhealthy.

Question for you to consider; if you find the answer it will solve this issue.

The question is:

"What's the difference between ulting a champion with less than 1/4 of their health with an ult that does 300 damage and ulting with an ability that is an execute?"

Seriously, what's the difference in how it effects gameplay?

Hint: it's certainly not amount of player-work they performed as in both cases they are both literally just pressing the "R" key over the target.

Wow...

Thats actually a reasonable point. I dunno, its likely that I really hate playing against Garen and Darius, etc. and they happen to have executes. It seems like an ult like Veigar's which really doesn't require skill to use and will do a butloud of damage, usually is late game, has a longer cooldown, and/or that champion is squishy and can be jumped on within that time period, unlike Garen, Dar, Zed, Riven, etc. who are tanky or very mobile.

Garen's ult just feels unhealthy because an ult like Veigar's usually can't kill you just because your 1/3-1/4ish hp. I guess its just that its a different and more punishing play style that you have to play around, such as not staying in lane below X health.

Thanks for being pretty polite with your reply, this definently changed my perspective.

Ye I am with you buddy....Rito should get rid of execute ults. Especially for Garen, he is good enough with 3 abilities. He doesnt even need an ult.

Garens ult isn't an execute.

Garens ult isn't an execute.

yes, it is. it scales with missing health. it just does absurd amounts of damage to begin with.

An execute is when you can look at a champion at x% health and say "he is below x% health so I know it will garen-tee the kill

and you're saying Garen's ult isn't that?

Taken directly from the wik:

ACTIVE: Garen calls upon the might of Demacia to attempt to execute the target enemy champion, dealing them magic damage. Demacian Justice deals true damage instead to the Villain.

It literally is called an execute and deals damage based on the enemies missing health.
