Can someone explain how Eve's ult invulnerability works?

Does a root stop it from going off as well?

EDIT: The comments point out that a root does prevent it from being cast. I'm now wondering what you should do as Eve in the late game since she's not very good at split pushing. When the enemy team groups I guess it's just a 4v5 for your team then? You can't expect to reliably be able to ult out if even a root prevents it.

If you are rooted, you can’t ult. as it is coded to forcefully make you blink backwards after the damage part, it can’t do that if you can’t move soooo....

no, the only thing that stops it is dying from a dot. if you're rooted before you ult then your fucked.

Her ultimate makes her untargetable, not quite invulnerable, like Kayn's ult or Yi's Q, meaning that she can't be hit or targeted, but any damage she's set to take (usually if not always DoTs) will still hurt her. Her ult is a mobility spell as well, meaning that many forms of CC will stop you from using it. Of course stuns and knockups already stop you from casting any spell, however for clarity's sake I'll list every form of CC that stops her ult from being cast that isn't some form of stun or knockup.

Roots, silences, grounds (Cassiopia W and Singed W), and Amumu ult will all disable Eve's ultimate, along with any other general CCs like stuns, knockups, stasis, and the like.
