Ping test says 6 ms, in game i get 40 - 90
Why is this? is there any solution? My ping is perfectly fine and we just upgraded the wifi speed yesterday and now its acting all bad even though it was fine in the morning. Help?

Location is the most defining factor with ping. Ping is essentially the time it takes for you to "ping" the server and then recieve a response back, so round trip information. The server is also located in or around Chicago. There is little you can do to lower ping, the only things that are (mostly) in your hands are jitter and packet loss.
Your ping test is to the closest Node. Mine is 3ms I get 67 in game because its 3 states away while the node is in my town.
your 6 ms is to the closest server, 40-90 is to the closest riot server
