So no one has to suffer as a solo que player with 4 qued players on their team. I personally like to solo que flex for warming up for solo que or for fun, still have super bad memories of old flex que. Glad that nightmares over.

Logic. If flex queue is for parties, how do you add up to 5 if one party is 4? Answer, you can't. No number greater than 1 can be added to 4 to get the 5 players on ONE team. Plus, if everything is 2 or 3, it is easier to match up parties to achieve 5 needed to make a team - thus reducing queue time. Gotta love math.
