Placements are awful

Everybody Ive seen or heard of (including myself) has been placed below where they finished last season. Why Riot? why do you force us to climb the ladder again. The past two seasons Ive won more than half of my placement games and played very well, but I got placed 4 division from where I was before. Ive seen people who have won all ten games and got placed 3 division below where they started.
