I watched a old outplay clip, few days ago. I noticed a strange orb flying with a gray healthbar. Do you remember what it is? I forgot it existed untill i saw the clip. Its the green orb that becomes orange when someone enters that jungle section. I think you spawn that from the wolfs but im not sure, the grey healthbar is the timer. And I today researched about this, you get effect on every camp but only if you smite: true vision from raptors, orb from wolves, poison from gromp, krugs give stun effect on monsters.

Remember what they did to the old towers when the map got uptdated? Towers that are untargetable used to give shields so that you cant get properly cheesed or oneshot behind them, wouldv been great in the hecarim meta to have that so you dont get dove under the t2 towers lmao. The nexus towers also used to fire beams instead of those shots we have today, it got removed when the 1st turret gold got implemented, so you might remember it.

Remember how they had boots enchantment and 4 jungle items instead of 3? Im not gonna talk about every item from lol release but these ones are kinda not too old but 4 years ago and memorable. Really wish poachers blade is back.

I dont remember why these got removed. Orb and true sight would be busted in this meta but still... Got any nostalgic memories? I started playing on end of s5 so I remember these

Smite rewards? Ah, good times. They got removed in exchange for plants. I mean nothing against plants as they were pretty decent too for the game overall, although plants benefit everyone while smite rewards only helped the jungler. Maybe they should be bought back to help jungle in general.

Smite effects were removed because they killed some clear paths. If you want to gank, you need to smite birds, etc. They were replaced by Smite healing and plants Tower shields and lasers were nice but they were stalling games. Winning team had a hard time finishing the game, but losing team still couldn't use it to their advantage and turn it around. This resulted in onesided games lasting longer. There were 2 popular enchantments, all the others were rarely used and there wasn't even a clear indication of "good thing i got this enchantment, it helped me in that case by doing that thing", except homeguards, so Riot just decided to add free weaker homeguards at 20. Purple jungle item was removed because people picked it for non-stop afk farm, and its not really healthy when even successfull gank is a loss Warding jungle item was removed because there were too much vision. Enemy picked their warding jungle item and sightstone, and now you can't really gank shit, so you might as well get one for yourself and just safely farm. Again, not that good for the game Even older white jungle item(the counterjungling one) just wasn't used enough to justify wasting time on its balance. Most counterjunglers prefered dueling power(red smite)

I actually really miss the old smite bonuses, because they made the jungle that bit more interesting than it being 'smite for some health'

That was a smite reward back in season 6.

I can't remember what camp it was but if you smited camps you got a buff/effect dependent on what camp you smited.

That one you referred to was similar to a Kalista W where it scouts your jungle.
