Riot PLEASE Rework J4

There's been so many odd nerfs and adjustments to J4 without a real rework. The core of his kit is the pull of the Q to the E and the Cataclysm. This should stay, but unlike most other jungler/top laners, he does NOT have a built in heal. Also at this point his W is almost worthless.

His natural tankiness was taken away, his damage is lacking and falls off after mid-game. Even Kayn can outscale him before midgame if you think of J4 as a jungler only making J4 worthless.

Give the Exemplar of Demacia some love.

Pure AD glass-cannon J4 can still do a significant ton of burst damage on squishy champs.

ya, that J4 that dove from out of sight that I nailed hard but I still popped cause his damage and a shield that looked like it doubled his life. Really right now he is just an early game champ that can snowball early, like many others. See enough people to do well on him to not see problems here. It is not like he is what volibear was before his last buff.

If you think I'm going to argue with you about his damage numbers against squishies you're wrong. I FULLY believe he needs to go the other way, but I have no idea why they keep removing his tank numbers and then going toward assassin as well as not updating his kit. Against other original top laners his damage is not adequate because his tankiness is just gone comparatively.

I think this is where people get frustrated with J4. Top, he struggles, but people are cheesing him in jungle as an assassin style and that is where I usually see him snowballing early. I do agree that he can't keep up with other tops though. I have not seen a J4 do well in the top roll lately at all. But that is Rito's MO right now, giving champions huge burst dam so that even champs that should not be assassins, suddenly become one, just watch how many champs are using dusk right now that never did before....I would love to see him be more on the tanky side and less on the one hit wonder (which is why he struggles vs many tops, because they either are too tanky for his burst dive, or they have mobility that makes his dive useless.

I couldn't agree with you more. I want to see him move back toward his top-lane bruiser/tank role that has an secondary purpose of jungler instead of more into a early to mid-game jungle burst assassin that can't lane properly.

Each time a change has occurred he seems to get more and more focused into jungle assassin. It was never his intended role or usage from square one and continues to lose sight of how Jarvan IV was designed.

If j4 is going to regain tankiness, he needs to endure substantial nerfs to his damage potential.

120% bonus AD scaling on his Q.

150% bonus AD scaling on his R.

The scaling means that j4 benefits as much from bonus AD as most assassins, while the speed and range at which he can execute them makes him significantly more reliable, and less risky, than those other champs. The fact that his base damages themselves are insanely high is another issue entirely.

Agreed except for the ability to flash out of his ult damage that got added a couple seasons back. Honestly I'd like to see him reverted with the tankiness, less bonus AD, old W, and the additional abilities from his flag and without all this BS added fake burst assassin.

Base damages were there because he was meant to be early game cheesy but never meant to have that kind of scaling which is still sub-par when in the assassin realm.

They keep reverting certain other champions and J4 is a prime candidate for preferably that, or a rework.
