Frost Queen's Claim [FIX]

I'm sure people have thought about this, but I haven't seen it posted anywhere.

Main problem with it (IMO): It doesn't have much counter-play and is extremely versatile.

Solution: Give the Ghosts ~2 hit-points, like wards? That way when you're alone and getting caught out, 2 may be too much for you to handle on your own, as there's 2 ghosts, but as a team you can fire 4 hits before the ghost catches up. It's great counter-play and you wouldn't have to reduce the items slow effectiveness or increase its' cost. It also gives the item a much more "real" feel to it, rather than a one-button win.

It would also retain it's stealth counter. Maybe when they die they reveal an area around them? Just no slow.

I don't mind Frost Queen as it is. However, the fact that its viable in almost every role is rather abusive. Top laner playing AP?..lets get Frost Queen. APC midlaner?...Frost Queen first item. AP Support?...Frost Queen. In every game where there is an APC midlaner, there are 2 Frost Queens on the enemy team, which means that theres 4-8 seconds of an incredibly powerful slow. That, in my opinion, is abusing the item.

the problem is midlanners don't have a lot of viable ways to get CDR, so they end up having to use support items.

FIX: Add more CDR items for midlanners.

item 3165 and item 3174 give plenty of CDR. In fact Athene's IMO gives better stats depending on who your lane opponent is. IE MR. I don't NEED to be able to catch my opponent with FQC. I NEED to be able to survive the burst they are capable of. The slow is useless if you can't capitalize.

item 3174 and item 3165 have a couple of problems

  • you don't get both as they give redundant regen

  • you are paying for mana regen that you might not need, FQC kinda tackles this issue by compensating with the gold it grants.

Mages need items that grant CDR without having to pay for mana regen they might not need due to using other mana items.
