Banner + ZZ'Rot + Ult Turret. I don't think there is much counter play to this as an AP Mage mid (ex. Orianna who I played last game) and I think there should be some small adjustments that should be implemented (Such as Allowing Mages to deal bonus damage scaling with ap to the minions and etc.)

The thing is once he gets he has enough MR to not get poked down too hard and his banner'd minion will push down to your turret.
