League doesn't actually have a Z axis, but I believe the level geometry does. Meaning that while the projectile is fired from Lux's position (and, since the camera is tilted, is appears above your head), the hit box is actually traveling along a straight line that is not height-dependent. You're effectively standing in a spot where the laser would pass over you if a z-axis existed, but, since hitboxes are infinite in height (for all practical purposes) that means that your hitbox is in line with the laser as far as the game is concerned.

Light strikes everywhere at once. -Lux

If you can see lux`s abilities, even from across the map, they are gonna hit you

xD

The camera tilt gives weird hitboxes, they have talked about it before.

LoL is a 2D game that updates 30 times per second.

You are looking at a rough 3D description of what is actually happening behind the scenes.

If you run at anything but 30FPS you're not necessarily getting an accurate depiction of what happened.

That instance of damage could have happened 3 frames ago on a 120FPS monitor, and the game's approximation of your display could be completely wrong of what it actually should be.

The game is also compensating for latency, so there could be yet another 30ms of compensation going on.

So it hits you, but looks fishy. Morg also has a big hitbox.

Also that image sharing site is literal aids. Its mobile site doesn't fucking allow zoom.
