Question about Hextech Chests

So, I just played a game where I was Quinn, with a Yasuo on my team who earned an S rank. It says I need to own a champion to earn its chest, but I already own Yasuo and I did not earn an S on Quinn (I do not own Quinn). Does it mean I need to own a champion to earn the chest even though some other champion got an S rank ? I'm confused

You need to own Quinn. :P Even though someone else got the S, it counts towards the champion you're playing's chest.

Also The player who earns the S needs to be on your premade, if you were solo queue and that Yasuo was just a random then it still shouldn't count.

Ugh....I play mostly solo queue, so getting these chests is gonna be a pain. Anyways, thanks for the reply !!!
