Let's Talk About Fiora and Boards

So, I think we all remember when the boards were filled with calls for nerfing Fiora, saying she was the most OP thing ever. Then Riot answered those calls. Gutted Fiora harder than Rengo Catknife. So now we have no split pushing beast to 1v3 your carries. Then, the tank meta came, with Rammus, and Trundle to destroy all that we loved. The boards again filled with hate for tanks, saying things like "tanks are unbeatable" or "there are no counters to them". But there was a counter, Fiora, until the boards took it way to far, getting her nerfed even after the tank builds were nerfed. Now Fiora is almost useless and the tanks roam free. Remember that boards caused this to happen, and it will go like a cycle.

Tanks aren't an issue because Fiora isn't around. She wasn't the premier tank buster before her rework, and she shouldn't be the only answer anyways

She is one of many tank killers. Any sustained damage champion is better against tanks than burst champions, meaning any marksman, skirmisher, or sustained damage mage. Some champions within those classes are better or worse at it than their peers (Vayne and Kog are extremely good against tanks, Jhin is not so great) but Tanks make for long team fights and they like long team fights.

Any marksman is countered by these hard CC tanks, because they can't kite efficiently, Fiora just shreds them and can avoid CC.

Which is supposed to be one of their major strengths as a class If a major strength of the class is not properly expressed, then surprise surprise! The class that specific strength is meant to keep in check suddenly starts running rampant

Fiora being able to kill everything, tanks included, while being unkillable is not a good answer to the tank meta.

Actually, thinking about this... Tanks and tanky champions are not necessarily supposed to be kited by adcs, some of them (vanguards, mainly) are supposed to have the mobility to get into a fight and wreak havoc with their cc while also providing a little sustained AoE damage. In this case marksmen are supposed to be a major tool to deal with these champions, but they have to lean more on their sustained damage. Juggernauts are supposed to be kitable, but they aren't the biggest problem right now

I think the actual problem may be that tanks are simply getting too much armor on their strongest items (Sunfire, IBG) so the sustained damage of the anti-tanks isn't paying off quickly enough to matter.

I don't want Fiora to be unkillable, I'm saying all the people on the boards complained too much and got her nerfed to uselessness so now we don't have a top lane counter to the tanks in the meta.

Not true of Vayne, the champion tank-killer. She just gets stomped on in lane these days. :P

If i recall it correctly the issue was she went off tank and became nightmare to deal with once she had titanic.

For all the damage and pain she's caused, she's now repenting for it with numerous nerfs. But fear not, for she is fiora of the overloaded kit, there will be a time where she will shine again you just gotta wait for it, like all of us who've been waiting for her nerfs after she got revamped.

The best part is there were all these threads and upvotes to nerf "tank" Fiora when she was at a 49% win rate. Then Ekko comes along with a real tank build and a 57% win rate and boards is like "Oh no it's not Ekko's fault its just le items"

Fiora was stupid before and abusing tanky damage items and grasp of the undying. Grasp is probably a bit too strong but all of these people claiming it's a tank meta is funny. In competitive play there is normally an ADC, APC mid, A carry jungler normally now, and a tank top with a possible tank support maybe.
