Juggernaut Rant & Gameplay Suggestion

Okay, so Riot nerfed the shit out of tank Ekko because he got to a point where he dealt a shit ton of damage, was hard to be killed, and had extremely good stick potential. So why is it okay for another champion to have the same qualities and not be balanced because they were made to be that way? In case you are wonder I am talking about all of these tanks in meta that have high survivability and still deal extremely large amounts of damage. The main champion is Darius. He has a built in low cool down heal, high base damage, true damage on resets, and when his passive activates he recieves 200 AD and a high AD scaling bleed that can deal hundreds if not thousands of damage in fights. We also have Irelia, who isn't as prominent as Darius, but still has the same capabilities as tank Ekko. She is highly mobile, has reliable CC, has a lot of damage, is hard to kill or even peel because of her passive, and has great stick potential. Again, why is it that certain hand picked champions get a pass on being too much, while others are dealt with simply because its not their design? I am not saying I want tank Ekko, I am just saying these types of tanky high damage healing champions are not healthy for this game, and shouldn't exist even if they were designed to fulfill such a role. Perhaps lower their healing, lower their damage, and focus more on them being a tank. Or, you could have them be more of a bruiser like Xin Zhao and just nerf how strong they are without a lot of offensive items.

Well they don't have mobility nor good cc?

Irelia isn't a juggernaut to begin with, she's a diver.

The solution to juggernauts is the same as always: stay away from them and whittle them down from a range. Only a few of them, mainly Nasus, have any ability to get to you at that range that's reliable.

Juggernauts are intentionally made as teamfight monsters, but they do have weaknesses, most people are just too eager to teamfight to exploit them.

You can classify them differently, but when they did the juggernaut update all of these champions rose in strength. Now with changes more suitable towards them, like a stronger healing SV and an abundance of health and resist items they are just too much. Maybe the title is a little off, but they all fulfill a similar role, go into a team fight, deal massive amounts of damage, heal up everything dealt to you, and absolutely destroy anything that isn't full tank in 2-3 seconds. Hell, they even are like skirmishers who are meant to destroy tanks at the cost of them being squishy.

The problem is that it's a damage heavy meta so tanks and juggernauts are really strong right now because they output stupid damage while taking damage. I'm not looking for a global damage nerf cause I like quick games. Things just need rebalancing xD

had extremely good stick potential.

the reason why darius is fair and bruiser ekko isnt, is right here.

ekko is loaded through the roof with utility such as aoe slows, stuns, and mobility, more mobility and even more mobility on relatively short cooldowns. those are things juggernauts dont have. darius is nowhere near as sticky or as slippery as ekko.

yes, juggs deal sustained damage on the level of marksmen, and skirmishers while being hard to kill.

marksmens survival mechanism is range. skirmishers survival mechanisms are high mobility and abilities like windwall and riposte. juggernauts survival mechanisms are raw defense.

but the issue here is that to deal damage you let them get into melee range. if you let them get into melee for extended fights, you already fucked up.

as carries theyre pretty much the entire opposite to marksmen. if you let yourself get kited by a ranged adc, you lose. if you let yourself get caught by a juggernaut, you lose.

obviously its way easier for a utility loaded champion like ekko to catch someone and stick to him. thats why its unfair that he can get as tanky as juggs while still dealing decent damage.
